Anzac day P2

Anzac Day, 25 April 2015. Red poppies symbolize blood of soldiers who sacrificed their health and life . Two Australian artists Lynn Berry and Margaret Knight with the help of many volunteers created 250 000 red crochet poppies to commemorate 100th Anniversary of the Gallipoli landing (Anzac). The target 5000 poppies was surpassed. The carpets covered the Fed Square and look spectacular.

Anzac Day P1

First, we went to NGV. I planned to check Red Emperor exhibition but we went upstairs and checked Ancient Eastern art exhibitions. Hereunder I placed some pics from thess exhibition halls. Then we went to see Pre-Rafaelists paintings. As we looked quickly through the paintings I will have to come back again to enjoy them more carefully.

Dandenong Ranges National Park - Olinda 2

Dandenong Ranges. 6 April 2015. Taken by Canon PowerShot G16. If your point of departure is Caulfield, then think of it as a promenade to the mountains rather than a trip. Because it's close. The mountains are about 600 meters above the sea level which is ok but still I had a headache. First we went to the Rhododendron Gardens, then to Olinda falls and finished by enjoying amazing panorama of the night Melbourne from the Sky High lookout.

Если ехать из Кофилд, то это и не поездка вовсе, а так променад в горы. Близко. Высота чуть больше 600 метров и терпимо, хотя голова у меня болела. Итак, посетили Сады Рододендронов в первую очередь, затем съездили к Родникам Олинды и завершили невероятными видами ночного Мельбурна с площадки Скай Хай.
